The Expanse Board Game
The Expanse, a board game based on the Syfy television series of the same name, focuses on politics, conquest and intrigue similar to the board game Twilight Struggle, although with a shorter playing time. The card-driven game uses key images from the show, along with action points and events that allow players to move and place “Fleets” and “Influence”.
In more detail, players represent Earth’s UN forces, the military of Mars, the rebels of the O.P.A., and the mysterious corporation Protogen Inc. Each player has special abilities that must be maneuvered to gain advantage. Players increase their control over the solar system using characters and events from the universe of The Expanse.

They chose the highest elite of the universe, “The Council” to protect the power of the Ether. “The Wars”; An old tradition, a tournament organized by the Council where the different species of the universe fight to prove their skills over the others and make their champion part of the Council to own and protect the true power of Ether.
The goal is to get a certain number of Ether, which depends according to the number of players. Once a player gets 5, 6 or 7 Ethers (4, 3 and 2 players respectively) wins the game.
The game uses an innovative dice-piece system. Facing abstract strategy, turn placement as well as an important probability calculus to make the better decision. Along with it, a card mechanical will give the players the chance to surprise and create strategies that affect the elements of the game, including the fate.
The game is divided into days, composed of a series of phases, each with its own characteristics and that are executed successively. These days will happening until a player achieves the goal.
Players can choose one between the four species that are facing the Wars, each with their own skills and characteristics. They will command their army under the Hero orders and will face difficult strategic decisions. Choose the best tactic for each moment to extract the different resources of the planet, fight the enemy, defend your base and fight for the Ether domination.
It is a game that seeks to encourage mainly the strategy and the improvisation skills in the players.
Legend of the Five Rings: The Card Game
Welcome to the realm of Rokugan: a land of samurai and mystics, mad dragons and divine beings — a land where honor is stronger than steel. Here, the clans serve the Emperor and engage in courtly deceptions and power plays, even as they wage war against each other and the evil forces that plague their realm. This is the world of Legend of the Five Rings!
Legend of the Five Rings: The Card Game is a Living Card Game set in the world of Rokugan, the original setting for the Legend of the Five Rings collectible card game. To play a Living Card Game, players create individual decks of cards from a base game with a fixed set of cards; they can then add supplemental card packs to this game world, with each pack also having a fixed set of cards, in order to vary their game experience.
While the connection of Legend of the Five Rings: The Card Game to Rokugan and the Colonies — as well as its pervasive themes of honor, nobility, magic, intrigue, duty, and warfare — should carry over from the original L5R CCG, Legend of the Five Rings: The Card Game is not compatible with that original game and will feature significant changes in the game mechanisms.
Players of the deck-building card game Gateway: Uprising take on the roles of insurgent wizards determined to reclaim the Great City of Gateway.
Each player begins with the game with the same starter resources of basic insurgent wizards, merchants, and a magical Runestone – but from there the similarities end. Players will draft new wizards, heroes, and magical creatures into their ranks, building up an army to defeat and defend the different districts of Gateway.
After successfully liberating a district, the player gains access to its unusual power, such as cheaper resources, additional defenses, or even the ability to magically damage foes from afar. Be warned: Not only will other rebel insurgents attempt to steal your districts away from you, but you’ll also have to battle against the forces of Chancellor Gideon and an invading onslaught of terrible monsters called the Drueggar.
To aid you in this are Runestones – powerful one-time-use spells that can turn the tide of battle instantly or provide the player with a temporary boost to his coffers. However, once used, Runestones become empty shells and are discarded for the remainder of the game.
To win the game, players must collect victory points by defeating the city guard and Drueggar Horde, controlling important districts, or through special insurgent abilities they draft into their ranks. Don’t delay and play the waiting game — if the Drueggar manage to take all the city districts, it’s game over for both the insurgents and the innocent citizens of Gateway!

Here their numbers are more than doubled, new events are themed for their spheres of influence, and legendary relics are imbued with their incredible powers — one for each Incarnation since you first braved the caverns.

The Lord of the Rings Card Game: The Mountain of Fire

And it’s not just the scenarios that are bigger and more fantastic than ever. Codenames: Disney Family Edition
In Codenames, two teams compete to see who can guess all of their words correctly first — but those words are hiding in plain sight in a 5×5 grid that includes the words of the other team, neutral words, and an assassin that will cause you to lose the game immediately if you guess it. One person on each team is a spymaster and only these two know which words belong to each team. Spymasters take turns giving one-word clues that can point to multiple words on the board. Their teammates try to guess words of the right color while avoiding those that belong to the opposing team — and everyone wants to avoid the assassin.
Codenames: Disney Family Edition keeps the Codenames gameplay, while featuring characters and locations from a variety of Disney and Pixar films, with words on one side of the cards and images on the other.
Catan: Legend of the Sea Robbers Seafarers Scenario
Catan: Seafarers Scenario – Legend of the Sea Robbers includes four new linked scenarios that tell the “Legend of the Sea Robber” to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Catan: Seafarers. Each scenario can be played individually, with players trying to win the game as usual by collecting ten victory points, but players can also record their scores at the end of each scenario, with effects of one game affecting the next.
Catan: Seafarers Scenario – Legend of the Sea Robbers requires both the Catanbase game and the Catan: Seafarers expansion.
The Intel is solid. Raxxon will be transporting a VIP through a sector heavy with civilian traffic. This makes the mission a tricky one. You’ll be working alone as they try to throw you off their tail. Don’t be fooled. You need to get in and get the job done before the chance passes by. Just be sure to not get caught in the crossfire. Deception and negotiation are your greatest tools. Complete your mission, no matter the costs.
Introducing Crossfire, a game in the world of Specter Ops. Emerson Matsuuchi has partnered with Plaid Hat Games again to take players back into the dystopian struggle between Raxxon and A.R.K.
