Any games not getting much play lately?  Have you been checking out all the cool new stuff coming out?  Then you’re in luck!  Get ready to clean out your closet and raid your basement for all the games that are dead to you.  That’s right, pack ‘em up and turn those old games gathering dust into new games at the first annual Wandering Dragon Used Game Auction!

Bring your gently used games down to The Wandering Dragon from 10/1511/03 11/08. We’ll assign you a lot number and sell your unwanted game at our auction on Saturday, 11/10. You will earn store credit for your used games to buy the shiny new games you really want!

Then, clear your schedule for Saturday, November 10th and make plans to get here early on Auction Day.  The doors will open at 11:00am and the auction will begin at 12pm sharp!  Hope to see everyone at the auction!

UPDATE – 10/31/12

You’ve asked and we listened!We have had several people tell us they are interested in selling their higher ticket items in the auction, but not without a minimum bid. We understand the concern and found a way to do it!
You may now submit your more valuable / collectible items as a Buy It Now auction entry. Set your price then on Saturday, 11/10, these submissions will be displayed separately from the live auction items and available for purchase, just like any other game right off the shelf!Since we are making this change, we have extended the drop-off deadline for all auction submissions to end of day, Thursday, 11/8! 

How it Works

Important Stuff for Sellers (click link for: Seller Forms): 

  1. Bring your completed paperwork (see link above) and used Board & Card Games to The Wandering Dragon anytime from Monday, 10/15 through close of business Saturday, 11/03 Thursday, 11/08. (Sorry, we cannot accept any items AFTER 11/03 11/08.)
  2. The registration fee of $1.00 per auction lot item, due upon submission, is to help defray the costs of the event.  (An auction lot is either a single item or multiple items bundled together, depending on how it is submitted for auction.)
  3. Once an item has been submitted for auction, it may not be retracted.
  4. Please be advised, this is a $1.00 MINIMUM BID AUCTION. (If only one person bids, even the ultra-rare collectable could potentially close at $1.00.)
  5. We encourage folks to bundle games together.  It increases the value of the individual auction lot and you’ll get a higher average bid.
  6. If an item is badly damaged we cannot put it up for auction.  Please, no worse than LIGHTLY USED condition.
  7. Please indicate on the Auction Item Tag if the game is complete or missing pieces.
  8. We reserve the right to refuse any submitted game.
  9. Sorry, we cannot accept non-hobby game related items.  (i.e. no puzzles, toys, video games, etc.)
  10. No bidding on your own items.  (This will get you banned from all future auctions.)
  11. Store Credit will be issued the Monday after the event (11/12) to those that submitted the lots.
  12. Store Credit may not be combined with other discounts/points/promotions/etc.
  13. All unsold lots must be picked up by close of business on Saturday, 11/17.  Items not picked up will either be disposed of or become the property of The Wandering Dragon Game Shoppe.
  14. Buying/Selling directly between patrons is NOT permitted in the shoppe at any time.  You will be asked to leave if this occurs.

Important Stuff for Bidders (click link for: Bidder Registration Form):

  1. On Saturday, 11/10, come on up to The Wandering Dragon and get in on the action.  All you need to do is exchange your completed registration form (see link above) for a bidder card.  (Don’t worry, if you forget your form, we’ll have extra’s on hand.)
  2. ALL SALES ARE FINAL.  All bids are serious, binding and may not be retracted.  (No joke bids or bidding up items.)
  3. Minors are not permitted to bid. A parent or responsible adult must register and bid on behalf of a minor.
  4. Please, no bidding on your own items.  (This will get you banned from all future auctions.)
  5. The order in which the lots will be auctioned is at the Auctioneer’s discretion. (Sorry, we cannot take requests for ‘do this one next’.)
  6. All auction victories will be paid directly to The Wandering Dragon via cash, credit card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express), or debit card. (Sorry, no checks will be accepted for the auction.)
  7. Full payment for all auction victories is due prior to leaving the premises for any reason on Saturday, 11/10/12.
  8. Sorry, you may not use Dragon’s Gold Points or credit earned during the auction to pay for your auction purchases.
  9. Buying/Selling directly between patrons is NOT permitted in the shoppe at any time.  You will be asked to leave if this occurs.
