While challenging enough for serious puzzlers, it also features a rich, emotional narrative composed by New York Times bestselling YA novelist Tommy Wallach, which will have you and your loved ones feeling all the feelings.

Each Volume contains a trove of documents and puzzles, all of them beautifully crafted and cunningly designed–ostensibly by Mary Shelley herself–in order to reveal a great secret she left to her only surviving child.

Over the course of the game, you’ll also build a 500 piece 2D puzzle and a 350 piece 3D puzzle, ending up with a gorgeous recreation of Frankenstein’s castle you can keep forever!

Detective: Batman-Everybody Lies

Batman: Everybody Lies is a crime-solving deduction game for 2-4 players set in rich lore of the Batman comics universe. Players take on the roles of four key investigators – instinctive journalist Warren Spacey, tenacious reporter Vicki Vale, brutish detective Harvey Bullock, or the cunning Catwoman – who are drawn into a series of mysterious events unfolding in Gotham City.

Throughout the game, players cooperatively make decisions running the investigation and trying to solve a series of challenging cases. They visit famous locations in Gotham City (like the Batcave, Arkham Asylum, Blackgate Penitentiary, and the Gotham City Gazette) and cross paths with well-known Batman characters (like Batman, The Penguin, Poison Ivy, Mr. Freeze, Scarecrow, and more) while trying to chase leads, identify suspects, and gather enough information to help save Gotham City. The game also adds a brand new hidden agenda mechanic, which assigns secret goals and unique win conditions for each player based upon which DC character they portray.

In Batman: Everybody Lies, players utilize a variety of physical and digital game components – a deck of cards with essential clues and plot twists, various physical handouts, and a dedicated website with access to in-world resources from the Gotham City Gazette archives – for a truly immersive experience. The game also features another new thematic treat – Scenes – that bring memorable gameplay moments to life via original comic book illustrations that feel torn straight from the pages and panels of the beloved comics.

Beginning with an introductory Prologue designed to get players acquainted with the game rules, Batman: Everybody Lies then continues with three big cases to solve, each taking roughly 2-3 hours to play. Each case can be played separately as stand-alone episodes, yet should players crack all four cases, they will unravel a master narrative with an epic climax. Every scenario ends with a final report with questions verifying how well the team has investigated the case.

Marvel: Damage Control

After the dust settles, someone needs to pick up the pieces. In Marvel: Damage Control, that’s where you come in! With exciting and intuitive gameplay from Omari Akil, you and your friends will compete to become the most successful of Damage Control’s cleanup crews. Marvel’s strongest heroes and most powerful items are in the mix, brought to life with all-new art from Darren Calvert!

In Damage Control, each player leads a rival cleanup crew tasked to finding and securing the dangerous artifacts and technologies buried in the rubble. Represented by a pile of scattered, mostly facedown cards, each rubble card represents a powerful item. Notable relics include Doc Ock’s severed tentacles, damaged Ultron Drones, Terrigen Crystals, and more!

You’ll use your deck of Damage Control employees to demolish, uncover, and collect the Rubble Cards in search of valuable items, which you will then add to your deck. You can use the items’ powerful abilities to make your deck stronger and more effective or send them to your vault to keep them safe and earn victory points. Be careful, though! Only the items stored in your vault will score points in the end, so don’t hold on to them for too long!

As members of the organization in charge of processing the zone of destruction, you’ll also have to deal with various claimants—people showing up after the battle to complain about traffic or do their own scavenging. Some rubber-necking citizens are just hoping to catch a glimpse of one of the heroes or villains involved!

Heroes such as Captain America, Shang-Chi, Black Widow and more will appear in the form of the Character Deck. These heroes provide effects and victory points to the Damage Control teams that manage to enlist their help. The game also features four modules: Mighty Asgard, Mystical Manipulation, Pym Tech, and Vibranium Synthesis. For each game, you’ll pick two modules to mix into the standard Rubble and Character decks, creating a variety of stories, strategies, and gameplay options!

As the Marvel Universe’s leaders in cleanup and reconstruction, your team is sure to wreck the competition!

Nimalia

In Nimalia, players will compete to design the best animal sanctuary by cleverly placing overlapping cards.

Each card has 4 biomes, and each biome contains an animal. Place your cards well to achieve objectives and earn points.

Each game will have a different pool of objectives, and each round you will score only some of the objectives. You’ll have to modify your sanctuary throughout the game to take best advantage of the current round’s scoring objectives while also planning for future rounds.

It will take all of your judgement, courage, luck and skill to survive; but as long as there is life, there is hope!

Beast

Welcome to the Northern Expanse, a place where nature is still unexplored, mystical and dangerous. When the humans first arrived, they thought they found an unspoiled paradise, filled with bountiful forests, lakes swimming with fish and cold freshwater flowing from the mountains. But as their settlements expanded and the surrounding forests grew thinner, nature itself pushed back. Great creatures known as Beasts emerged, and with their fangs, claws and mystical powers, they proved an incredible threat to the humans. In order to protect the settlements, humans enlisted specialised hunters, tasked with tracking and killing the Beasts before too many of their kin perish.

The Beast uses a deck of direction cards to move over forests, swamps and caverns, using guile and deceit to hide its track from the hunters. However, whenever a hunter moves over a location where the Beast has previously been, a trail appears. Only when a hunter searches a location or the Beast itself attacks an unsuspecting target is the Beast’s actual position revealed. More so, each hunter has but one chance of searching each round, making it a tense and difficult decision. Hunters seldom have full information whether the trail they’re pursuing contains the Beast’s actual location, or if the trail has already gone cold.

Each action you perform in this game is done by playing a card from your hand (up to a maximum of two cards per turn). This means that if a player wants to search, attack or move, they need to have a card in their hand that lets them do that. Before each round, both hunters and Beast participate in a draft for the most important cards. All action cards can be used by both Beast and hunters alike.

In order to win this game, you either need to cooperate every step of the way if you play as a hunter, or skillfully outmaneuver your opponents if you play as Beast. On their own, hunters are never stronger than the Beast. Only when hunters communicate, strategize and combine their actions can they bring down the Beast before it’s too late.

Battlestations: Dirtside

Dirtside is a co-operative board game for 1-8 players featuring a full story-driven campaign, plus dozens of one-off missions. There are scores of unique planets to explore, including the homeworlds of every alien species from Dirtside and its companion game, Battlestations Second Edition.

You and your friends are a team of heroes in the far future, landing your starship on mysterious planets, with adventures such as raiding, rescuing, fighting, and escaping. In each mission, your team will have an objective to cooperatively accomplish, with threats like motor gangs, natural disasters, or planetary bombardment. Each planet has its own attributes like low-gravity, lava flows, or tectonic drift. You can combine your actions to do fun things like ram a jetcar into a building (to turn the building into a crater), or try to put out a fire before it reaches your ship. Your characters start with a special ability, weapons, and an ability for your species. You gain experience over time, rank up, and can purchase equipment between missions, plus gain new abilities.

Seasons of Arcadia

Once every year, the high faerie lords of Summer, Autumn, Winter, and Spring gather around the first Stones at the heart of the mystical realm of Arcadia. Once upon a time, they worked in unison to temper Nature’s fury. Now, capricious and vainglorious, they challenge each other to see whose seasonal power will rule for the next twelve months.

Seasons of Arcadia is a deeply strategic, yet very approachable game. Players assume the roles of powerful faerie lords, each attempting to dominate the entire year with their seasonal magic.

The goal is simple: Be the first to place all twelve of your lords on the board to achieve victory. Players take turns placing, moving, and jumping opposing faerie lord pieces on a hex board. Each season can both replace and be replaced by one other season, so defense is as important in offense in determining where you place and move.

Birds of a Feather: Western North America

Grab your binoculars and your birding journal because it’s time to hit the trails and see some birds. Choose a habitat each round to visit along the western coast of North America, and see what rare birds you can find. Don’t forget to keep an eye on what your fellow birders are tracking down — they might just lead you to the bird that finishes your watch list and earns you extra points! Who will outsmart their opponents, spot the most birds, and be the best birder?

In Birds of a Feather: Western North America, you and the other players explore different habitats to spot birds. In the first round, each player chooses and reveals a card from hand, then marks off on their score sheet or the app the bird they played as well as all other birds played in the same habitat. The deck contains cards from five habitats, with some birds being more common than others. In the second round, you each play a card again, then you mark all birds in your current habitat as well as all cards played the previous round in that habitat. Apparently word spread about all the great finds! Remove all cards from the first round, then keep playing additional rounds in the same manner.

When each player has only one card left in hand, the game ends. For each ace bird you’ve seen in a habitat, you score 2 points; for each other non-common bird you’ve seen, score 1 point; and if you’ve seen all seven types of birds in a habitat, score 3 bonus points for a total of 10 points in that habitat. Whoever has the most total points wins.

Birds of a Feather: Western North America differs from Birds of Feather thanks to new graphic design and improved rules for two- and three-player games to make them more strategic.

Eleven: Unexpected Events

Unexpected Events is an expansion to Eleven, a strategic game by Thomas Jansen (Club Stories, Tavern, Streetpainball) set in the world of football. Good organization and preparation lead to success, but even these may not be enough. Hard work can be useless when faced with unforeseen events. Sometimes a single player’s bad day can determine the whole outcome of a game…
