How to Sign Up for a Wizards Account

A Wizards Account is now essential for participating in official Dungeons & Dragons organized play. To participate in D&D Encounters, weekly campaigns, one shots, and other official Dungeons & Dragons events at The Wandering Dragon, players should create a free Wizards Account before attending their first event.

Here’s how to sign up for a Wizards Account:

  1. Go to the Wizards Account website: Open your web browser and navigate to https://myaccounts.wizards.com.
  2. Click “Create Account”: Look for the button or link that says “Create Account” or “Sign Up.”
  3. Enter Your Information: You’ll be prompted to provide details such as:
    • First Name
    • Last Name
    • Email Address (and confirm it)
    • Date of Birth
    • Country/Region
    • A unique Display Name (this is what other players will see)
    • Create a Password (make sure it meets the strength requirements, typically 8+ characters with a mix of uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and symbols).
  4. Agree to Terms: Read and accept the Privacy Policy, Terms and Conditions, and Code of Conduct. You may also have options to opt-in/out for promotional emails.
  5. Submit and Verify: Click “Submit” to create your account. Wizards of the Coast will usually send a verification email to the address you provided.
  6. Activate Your Account: Open the verification email and click the activation link. This step is crucial to fully activate your account.
  7. Log In: Once activated, you can log in to your new Wizards Account using your chosen Display Name or email and password.
