Rayguns and Rocketships

Welcome to a galaxy of adventure!

In the frozen heart of space lies a fantastic galaxy of planets populated by space-faring factions called Planeteers, who wage a never-ending battle of Rayguns and Rocketships. Some seek action like the brash Astro-Rangers, others desire riches like the fearsome Star Pirates. Some planeteers will to conquer like the horrible alien Blaarg or hunger for honor like the reptilian Zard. Which Planeteers will be the master of the galaxy? That’s up to you!

Rayguns and Rocketships is an action strategy game inspired by the sci-fi classics of the pulp era. The game features fast-paced strategy, pulse-pounding action and over 32 original miniatures!

Players starts by selecting a Planeteer faction consisting of a rocketship miniature, a rocketship interior map, a crew of six Planeteers miniatures, a captain miniature, a two-sided captain card and a deck of maneuver cards unique to each Planeteer faction. Player place their crew on their rocketship map – in the cockpit, manning the control systems or manning a raygun – each gives advantages in flight and combat.

Play is divided into three phases: rocketship movement, rocketship combat, crew movement and combat. Players plot their Rocketship’s course using maneuver cards or star cards which are added to the player’s hand each turn to provide additional tactical and combat advantages during play.

As the gigantic rocketships maneuver on the Star Map, they blast away at each other with their deadly rayguns. Crew members can leap out of the airlocks to jetpack into combat with other Planeteers or board enemy rocketships to engage in fierce hand-to-hand combat!

Points are scored by defeating crew, playing star cards and destroying rayguns and rocketships. The player who reaches the game’s victory point goal wins the game and is declared master of the galaxy!

Ticket to Ride: First Journey Europe

Ticket to Ride: First Journey takes the gameplay of the Ticket to Ride series and scales it down for a younger audience.

In general, players collect train cards, claim routes on the map, and try to connect the cities shown on their tickets. In more detail, the game board shows a map of Europe with certain cities being connect by colored paths. Each player starts with four colored train cards in hand and two tickets; each ticket shows two cities, and you’re trying to connect those two cities with a contiguous path of your trains in order to complete the ticket.

On a turn, you either draw two train cards from the deck or discard train cards to claim a route between two cities; for this latter option, you must discard cards matching the color and number of spaces on that route (e.g., two yellow cards for a yellow route that’s two spaces long). If you connect the two cities shown on a ticket with a path of your trains, reveal the ticket, place it face up in front of you, then draw a new ticket. (If you can’t connect cities on either ticket because the paths are blocked, you can take your entire turn to discard those tickets and draw two new ones.) If you connect one of the westernmost cities (Dublin, Brest, Madrid) to one of the easternmost cities (Moscow, Rostov, Ankara) with a path of your turns, you immediately claim a special cross-continent ticket.

The first player to complete six tickets wins! Alternatively, if someone has placed all twenty of their trains on the game board, then whoever has completed the most tickets wins!

Ticket to Ride: First Journey features the same gameplay as the first Ticket to Ride: First Journey game, but with the players claiming track in Europe instead of in the United States.

King’s Road

In King’s Road, the players are nobles who are attempting to gain power and influence within the king’s many provinces. As the king travels along the road that connects all the major landmarks within his territory, he will allow the most influential noble in each region to govern in his stead. Over time, the most favored noble will win the game.

King’s Road is an area-majority game. Each player has identical decks of eleven cards. On a turn, players simultaneously select the three cards they will play, and in what order. To win, players not only have to influence the king as he traverses the land, but attempt to read the minds of their opponents.

King’s Road reimplements the game Imperium, previously only available within game compendiums.

London (second edition)

A brand new edition of a popular classic, London will appeal to the strategic thinker among board game fans. Tasked with rebuilding London in the decades following the great fire, players juggle building requirements, bank loans, and poverty as they strive to realize their vision for the city.

The game features a unique mechanism of playing cards to develop the city, then “running” the city by taking all the card actions simultaneously. Players have to repay all their loans before the game ends, but need to worry only about how much poverty they’re creating relative to the other players.

Empires

In Empires, you represent a colonial European nation that is competing to gain the most support. Support is won by supplying your people with goods; goods are produced when your people work in your territories. You can gain people, territories, goods, and supporters by winning wars. To win wars, you must pay gold to raise armies, and gold can be earned by winning wars and by selling goods.

All turns are taken simultaneously, and there are no restrictions on trading. At any point in the game, you may trade anything: people, territories, goods, gold, player powers, etc. The game takes place over a series of rounds. At the end of the final round, the player with the most support wins.

Last Night on Earth: 10th Anniversary Edition

Last Night on Earth: The Zombie Game is a survival horror board game that pits small-town heroes head-to-head against a horde of zombies. A team of four heroes is chosen by one set of players, with each hero having its own special abilities; the zombies are controlled by one or two players. The board is modular, which changes the layout of the town and start positions of each hero. The game comes with several scenarios, which include simple survival, rescue, or escape. Differing combinations of heroes, scenarios, and board configurations offer a lot of replayability.

A hero deck and a zombie deck deliver tactical bonuses to each side. Combat is resolved using six-sided dice, modified by the weapon cards with which heroes may be equipped. Many of the cards include zombie movie tropes to achieve a feel of playing out a horror movie. All the game art is photographic, enhancing the cinematic feel.

Last Night on Earth: The Zombie Game – 10 Year Anniversary Edition includes a complete and updated version of Last Night on Earth as well as several new additions. The Experience System and Fire Rules, first introduced in the Timber Peak expansion, have been integrated into the original game, as well as new zombie cards, hero cards, a new set of upgrade cards, and a brand new scenario, “Broken Down”. The game includes a new comprehensive rulebook, featuring an updated version of the rules, as well as all of the web scenarios and expansion rulebooks released to date.

This release features plastic miniatures for most counters, including wounds, XP, fire, Old Betsy, spawning pits, gas markers, and even the classic old truck. The CD soundtrack of original thematic music has been remastered and expanded, with new songs being added.

All of the classic heroes are included, plus four new playable hero versions of townsfolk from the original game. Everything comes packaged in a numbered collector’s box, and everything in Last Night on Earth: The Zombie Game – 10 Year Anniversary Edition is compatible with all previous expansions for Last Night on Earth.
