3/16/20 UPDATE: DragonRun Delivery Service
Due to the governor’s Shelter in Place order, we will be closing the doors at 5:00 PM tonight, but not closing The Dragon. We are still offering our DragonRun, Free, Same Day Delivery Service for as long as we are allowed to do so.
We have been closely monitoring the COVID-19 virus developments and for the health and well-being of our community, we have made the decision to postpone all store events until further notice.
The retail store hours will also slightly change to Monday-Saturday from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm with no change to our Sunday hours which are 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
In addition to our new DragonRun Game Delivery Service, we are now also offering Curbside Pick-Up beginning on Tuesday, March 16th. For DragonRun Delivery and Curbside Pick-Up, please email us at info@WanderingDragon.com with your order.

We have been getting a lot of phone calls and messages asking if we are still open and asking if we are still hosting events. Yes, we are open and yes, we are hosting events until we should no longer do so. We are closely monitoring the state’s guidelines regarding hosting events and have increased the frequency of our daily sanitizing procedures. We will do our best to provide a clean, safe environment and continue to offer the escape that we all love, and that we all need right now, for not only folks stopping in to bring some fun home, but also for our players gathering at The Dragon to escape for a few hours.
We also understand that not everyone is comfortable with venturing outside the home right now so we are going to try something that we have never done before, an idea we’ve been toying with long before the current situation surfaced, but feel this is probably a good time to give it a “Test Drive”.
Starting Monday, March 16th, The Wandering Dragon will be rolling out DragonRun, our new game delivery service. More on that below.
Now, more than ever, we need a diversion, whether your gaming with a few friends at The Dragon or hunkering down with family at home. So, if your stopping by the shoppe to get out of the house for bit looking for some fun or joining us for a few hours to have some fun, keep having fun. We all need this right now. This is a great time, a very important time, to immerse yourself in another world, throw some dice, flip some cards and yes, talk a whole lot of trash.

DRAGONRUN GAME DELIVERY SERVICE
HOW IT WORKS
Email your order by 2:00 pm to info@WanderingDragon.com. We will verify stock availability and send you an invoice. Upon receipt of payment, your purchase will be scheduled for same day delivery, by 8:00 pm. Delivery is FREE with a minimum order of $50.00.
WHAT ITEMS CAN BE DELIVERED?
The Wandering Dragon’s DragonRun Delivery Service will deliver new board games, puzzles, booster displays, collectible card sets, puzzles, role playing books, dice, miniatures, paints and painting supplies and other accessories directly to your door.
Order Deadline: Same Day Order Deadline: 2:00 pm
Delivery Fee: FREE with $50.00 Minimum Order
Orders are subject to stock availability and pre-payment.
Delivery Window: Someone must be home to accept delivery between 3:00 pm – 8:00 pm.
Same Day Service Area: Includes all communities within a 15-mile radius from our shoppe in downtown Plainfield. Please see our Same Day Delivery Area Map below for more details. Please email us for special arrangements if you are outside our standard delivery area.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Does someone have to be home for the delivery? Yes, we will not deliver to a mailbox, empty house or location where the customer that purchased the games is not present.
Why DragonRun Game Delivery? Not everyone can get out to The Dragon due to…life. DragonRun allows us to help our customers get great games locally today without having to leave the safety and comfort of their homes. While we encourage everyone to get out and play with friends and family; sometimes it’s just not possible to come out and play, or you simply can’t get out of the house. That’s where The Dragon can bring the best in tabletop directly to you.
What if I’m really sick – will The Dragon still deliver? Yes, this is an important part of why we are moving forward with this program starting on 3/16, before we initially intended. If you’re not feeling well, stay home and let us bring the fun to you. We do ask that you let us know if you or someone in your house is sick so our staff can take appropriate personal safety measures.
Is there a Delivery Fee? No. There will be a $50 minimum purchase delivered within a 15-mile radius.
How about delivery outside your delivery area? We can deliver to outlying areas, but there would be a minimum purchase requirement based on distance. Just include request in email and we’ll let you know how we can get you the games or puzzles you really want to play.
Where can I find a list of what is available to order? Again, this is a “Test Drive” phase right now and we are implementing this sooner than we intended. Please bear with us during this phase. For now, please email us a list of requested items and we will get back to you as soon as possible with product availability and an invoice.
